Check engine!

This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict!

Just another thing to do, err better save for that rainy day when you need some busy work. BTW don't download Firefox, the web developer tool bar can add a lot of tasks to an already full list. :0 )

Throwing Tables Out the Window

If you surf around enough you'll find interesting reading all over the place. At Stopdesign.com there's a great log about the owner turned the Microsoft.com home page into a tableless CSS-P layout live during a presentation. Impressive to say the least.

Look Ma, No Tables!
Those who were at Digital Design World in Seattle this year saw me present a session titled, “No More Tables, CSS Layout Techniques”. In that session, we reviewed proper use of tables, and a few pointers for styling them with CSS. Then we turned to tableless layout, reviewing examples and an overview of the two basic approaches (positioning and floats).

Read it yourself here.

XML feed up

Got the XML feed going. You'll find the link over on the right side.

If you think so much as to grab my feed, I'm honored.

Also if you have not tried out Pluck give it a try, by far one of the best Feedreaders I have used, and I like the fact it works over multiple computer.

They are only so smart

I was just talking to my wife on the phone and one of our dogs jumped up and sat next to me. At the end of the conversation I held the phone up to the dog's ear and she spoke to him, "Wanta go for a ride. WALK WALK... Bernard WALK."

We as you would expect he did not perk up one bit. So it occurred to me, dog's are only so smart. They can't fathom the concept that their master might be on the other end of a plastic phone. I mean it would take a lot to consider and formulate that concept.

So the question is what concepts do you think we can't fathom?

More updates

Just need to tweek the CSS a little more and I should be done. Now onto the the main page, I need to get all the images cut for that, and work out the CSS-P for it all.

Also got some of the filler pages in place so I can make links. The format for those pages is almost set, but it will use the same CSS-P as the main page so I need to do that one first.

More template work

Fixed the template so now it looks right and all the sub-pages work like they should. Now I just need to comb thru all the images from the old url and copy them over.

Over all I like the look, but I know once I get the full site done I'll tweak this blog up with some.

New site

Its a work in prograss, but I have my new site up, and I got blogger working with it. A few of the pictures are buggy, and I need to mess with the css some to get the columns wider, but for now its working.
