Ca. Senator thinks free mean you have to use it

So this good Senator of California, thinks that Gmail Googles new free email service goes a little too far in the service it offers. Allow me to explain, Google has thrown its hat into the free email ring, but now they offer not only free email, but 1 gig of space. Thats right 1 gig free.

Is there a catch, well yea they gotta sell ads, but this time they are using their Google serach function to read my email and put ads, little ads btw next to my email. They have said they will never read your email to find out who your sleeping with or what TV show you watched last night. They are just adding in ads that might actually might apply to your email content.

Well Ms. Figueroa finds this evil in some way and thinks California should have a law banning the "free" not required to use new email service. Ms. Figueroa I think California has a lot more problems then wheather people in California that choose to use Googles new email service need protecting.

Well lets see what a little Google Bombing is like Freedom Killer.

Ms Figueroa,
I'm shocked to find out that you are under the impression that using gmail is a requirement of using the internet. Last I checked its a free service that I as a consumer have the right to use or not.

I find it very interesting that in this time of California's shrinking budget you would waste your time writing a bill to stop a free none required service from offering itself on the internet, instead of say WORKING ON THE BUDGET.

GET a clue your up there to fix California for our future and solve major problems like immigration, budget, and water rights. Not stop some new business model that you think is invasive when in fact its free and not a requirement of using the internet.
