Ah well after a lot of hard work and some teamwork, I now have a wireless network. It all started with just a simple trip to Fry's on Sunday. My bro and I then just started looking around and after some debate I grabbed the Linksys 4 port wireless router, and a wireless G card. Well his 17" Power Mac had no problem finding the network, but the Linksys card would not install in my IBM T23 Thinkpad. Why well it turns out if you have a Texas Instruments Control Bus you need beta drivers for the card, and well there beta for a reason.
So off to Fry's again and I got the Netgear 108mbps card. Well that card installed, but for some reason I could not see the wireless network. Ok maybe it's the router, so back to Fry's and this time I get the 108mbps wireless 4 port router. Agian the same problem, after about an hour with tech support, oh and btw Linksys tech support sucks, but after some time on the phone I still could not get it to work. Well at this point I was about to give up when my bro took over and reinstalled the card, along with that he set the properties for the wireless card to not use Novell. Yea a company laptop with Novell. Dam Novell client. Well two days, three hours of tech support, four phone calls to India and I'm wireless baby.
